If I ever make it to heaven, I hope there are many loaves of this bread waiting for me. It’s absolutely delicious! I’m often dismayed when I feel need an advanced degree in organic and inorganic chemistry to decipher the 50+ ingredients in most bread options today. This bread is a throwback to the way things should be—made with just five simple ingredients, crafted by bakers who truly care about providing healthy, nutrient-dense options to their community. John, the baker, is not only incredibly accommodating but also a pleasure to work with. You can tell he genuinely cares about his craft, and it shines through in every loaf. Highly recommend!
I can't say enough about John and his business- I've been a customer since 2021, and from his customer service, in person drop offs of bread and overall quality of product, John/Wild Yeast Bakehouse is worth every penny. My husband is sad on weeks we don't get bread (which aren't many) and I hope everyone signs up!
I get are least 2 bread loaves every week during the Media Farmer's Market. I love the chocolate cherry, cinnamon raisin and sourdough.
We look forward to our bread every week, and nothing could be easier than a regular doorstep delivery with so much variety and thoughtful sourcing of ingredients! The loaves taste good on their own and also work great for sandwiches. Logistically it’s really easy to swap flavors of skip a week when we need to.
